Following a host of images of the BRZ Sports Coupe concept which is expected to have its global premiere next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Subaru yesterday has just revealed a glance of the real production model of the BRZ that is going to be launched on the end of November this year at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show.
Some slight differences to the production study model can be clearly found on its front end, including the redesigned bumper with a lower lip spoiler and employs more common grille bars and a couple of round fog lights under the turning signals that are placed in reduced amount of noticeable air vents.
From those alterations it seems that the base version of the BRZ production version tends to take away the aero kit which presents on the concept version and retains its regular- size mirrors.
The design differences exist between this BRZ and its sister the Toyota FT- 86 appear only in the front and the rear bumper styling and the tail lamps.
Subaru also informed that the 2013 BRZ will equipped with the rear- wheel drive in which its dimensions are the same with that of the FT- 86. The BRZ is at 1,3000 mm a little taller than the Toyota at 1,288 mm. while the length and width of the BRZ are measured at 4,240 mm and 1,775 mm. both vehicles also features the identical powerplant, a 2.0 liter boxer engine which will be available in either six speed manual gearbox or a six speed automatic transmission.
In addition the BRZ which is the first rear- wheel drive sports car is set to enter the production stage in spring next year.
