This Honda’s creation will come on two models in Japan, the 20G and the 24G, the same version as it showed on the Los Angeles Auto Show at the beginning of this month.
The base level comes with a 2.0 liter gasoline engine which produces output of 150 ponies at 6,200 rpm and 191 Nm of torque. The engine then mated to a CVT or short of Continuously Variable Transmission. The unit is also able to figure a fuel economy consumption of 14.4 Km/ L on Japan’s JC08 cycle or around 33.9 mpg in US driving mode. While on the 10- 15 driving cycle, the fuel economy is figured at 15.4 km/L or around 35.2 mpg US (6.5 L/ 100Km).
The larger 2.4 liter gasoline unit is fixed only in the 24G and spawning as much 190 ponies of power at 7,000 rpm and 222 Nm at 4,400 rpm. This unit coupled to a five- speed automatic transmission. this version delivers fuel economy of 11.6 Km/ L or around 27.3 mpg US or 8.6 L/100km when on the JC08 cycle. While on the 10-15 driving cycle, the fuel efficiency is rated at 12.2 km/L or 28.7 mpg US.
The 20G 2012 CR-V will go on sale brings along with its tag price at 2,480,000 Yen or about US$31,900. On the other side as much 2,750,000 Yen or around US$35,350 will come for the all- wheel drive 24G.
The company set this CR-V to be sold for around 18,000 units each year in Japan.
