It is the time for the seventh- gen of Toyota Camry to have its public outing in Australia. For the Australian market this Toyota Camry is more identical to the North American model except its interior fabrics, color, trim, and steering and suspension settings. The Australian model’s steering indeed has been modified for its local buyers.

A new and more potent 2.5 liter four- cylinder gasoline engine will empower the Toyota Camry Australian model. In the Altise version the engine is able to produce output of around 133 kW or equal to 178 ponies and 231 Nm of torque, while in the Atara version it spawns output of 135 kW or 181 horsepower and 235 Nm of torque. it means the unit delivers an improved performance figures by 15 percent and 8 percent compared to the outgoing model.
The unit then coupled to a six- speed automatic transmission which is claimed to be able to deliver less fuel economy by a liter per 100 km to 7.8 l/ 100 km.
In Australia, the Toyota Camry will bring a tag price from AU$30,490 for the base level to AU$39,990 for the Atara SL. It is possible Toyota will bring a hybrid version to join in the Camry family. Well, maybe later on next year.
