Following the unveiling of the updated 107 from Peugeot and the C1 from the Citroen, now it is the time for the Japanese carmaker to present its creation for the 2012 model year. Well, Toyota shows the jointly- developed Aygo city car.
Until these days, the Aygo is receiving two facelift, just the same with its French siblings. In the past 2008, three years after its first launch, the Aygo Ciity Car received its first makeover.
For the 2012 model year, the engineers has fixed the Aygo City Car with a revamped front end which shows the identical appearance with the other models in the same family such as the Prius and the new Yaris. The alterations also cover a redesigned front bumper featuring a larger air intake and LED daytime running lights, darker-tinted rear windows and new designed wheels.
Apart of those alterations the interior also gets some changes including the dashboard which finished in dark grey. The company also stated that the engineers also have reduced the vehicle’s noise levels.
The Aygo City Car also has have its steering wheel redesigned completed with paddles for the MultiMode auto transmission- equipped models, the speedo which a choice of three colors including grey, orange and black surrounds, tachometer and air vents, and an optional audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
Just the same with its two French models, the Aygo is empowered by the revised 1.0 liter three cylinder engine. The unit is able to deliver output of 68 hp and 93 Nm and figure CO2 emission at 99 g/km. it means the CO2 emission is reduced by 6 g/km over the previous version. The fuel consumption is returned of 65.7 mph UK. It is reduced from 61.3 mpg UK or equal to 4.6 lt/ 100 km to 4.3 lt/100 km.
