The revamped model of the Porsche Boxster has not been unveiled yet indeed, but the automaker has already dropped its first official images of the Boxster. The images have spread around the web widely.
Actually after the Boxster was born in the past 1996, the Boxster has experienced three alterations and this time is the third. The Boxster comes as two- seater model which brings an all- new lightweight body, upgraded flat-six engines with direct petrol injection, a completely revised chassis and in true Porsche fashion, evolutionary styling.
The vehicle is now featuring with shorter front and rear overhangs along with a significantly forward-shifted windscreen and complete flatter silhouette with the front end derives the styling hints from the 918 Spyder Concept which is also soon placed in production stage. The usual tail lamps used on the previous model with mounted-middle.
The most noticeable alteration inside the car is on the centre console which features a large screen and an elevated lower section completed with similar controls which is also employed on the new 911 and the Panamera.
The vehicle offers larger space for passengers, thanks to the longer wheelbase and wider tracks. Makes its performance perfect, the vehicle employs a new fully automatic hood.
There is no further information on its technical details, but this vehicle is empowered by a 2.7 liter flat- six to replace the old source as the base version. It produces output of 265 ponies, ten hp improved. The unit also enables the Boxster to sprint from zero to 100 km/ h in 5.7 seconds.
The Boxster S still maintains its previous 3.4 liter engine but it is able to deliver output of 315 ponies, 5 ponies improved. The Boxster S is able to run from standstill to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds sprint time.
A six speed manual gearbox is offered as standard in both units, while the optional comes with a seven speed dual clutch PDK transmission.You can prepare as much $49,500 for the Boxster and $60,900 excluding a destination fee at $950.
