We had already seen the Suzuki Regina in the concept form at the last year Tokyo Auto Show and that was an extraordinary runabout concept car indeed. However, the automaker was planned to get the Regina to be presented in the Geneva Motor Show with some subtle changes. And as it said, the automaker is planning for a kind of French- looking little car. This Regina features bold design, yet it’s performance seems sound enough since the Regina is sported by a regular three- cylinder gasoline engine.
As the Regina shown in Switzerland, it will be dubbed as the G70. This new vision compact car- acclaimed will bring lower weight and elaborated dynamics. The car is just weighing at 730 kg. Thanks to the overall weight reduction that the G70 is now able to figures the CO2 emissions in European Driving Cycle at 70 g/km.
Apart of the Regina G70, the automaker will show off another vehicle as well. In the display, Suzuki will take the Swift Range Extender which is the newest development in hybrid vehicle technology from Suzuki. In the past 2010 Geneva Motor Show, the Swift Range Extender was actually shown off. Started from that point, the automaker had applied some further development on the Swift Range Extender. As the result, a hundred percent improvement on its battery driving range to 30 km can be presented.
The automaker has fitted the Swift Range Extender with a generator and a highly efficient 660cc three cylinder petrol engine. being different with the common Electric Vehicle which totally depends on battery power, the Range Extender features more compact lithium- ion battery which offers some advantages such as quicker to be re-charged, lowered weighs, it uses fewer resources and also cheaper as well.
Expect for more details on the Regina G70 in a press conference which will be held by Suzuki Motor Corporation on the 6th March at 9.45 am, for more specific, this conference will be located on stand 4251 in Hall 4.
