As we know previously, the Ferrari 458 competition version has already be ready for some great events, such as the Ferrari Challenge, Grand Am, and the GT3 and the GT2 chasses which will be held in the Le Mans and many other related series of competitions in the globe.
However, do you know that there is one more event to be attended by the Ferrari 458? Well, as it officially confirmed, the Ferrari 458 is expected to join the FIA GT1 World Championship.
After moving to the Maserati MC12 from the GT1 racing, the Vitaphone Racing is deciding to switch from the Maserati to an improved version, the BMW Z4 GT3. Although there is no further information on which team will compete in the GT1- spec 458 yet, the competitor may be these following vehicles, including the new McLaren MP4-12C GT3, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, Audi R8 LMS Ultra and Nissan GT-R, The Ford GT, Lamborghini Murcielago and Aston Martin DBR9.
More information is delivered by the Series organizer SRO which was said that the company had already approved an agreement with Pirelli as the official tyre supplier, in order to provide all the rubber needed for either FIA GT1 World Championship or the FIA GT3 European Championship in 2012.
You may see FIA GT3 European Championship that will be kicked off at the February 15, while the place where the 10th race will be held has not been revealed yet and it is expected to be announced later on a few days later.
