At the Detroit Motor Show that was held last month, Hyundai had already dropped some first official images of the upgraded Hyundai Genesis Coupe for the North American market. However, now Hyundai has just unveiled some details, pricing and specifications on the updated Hyundai Genesis Coupe which is expected to arrive on sale next month.
The South Korean automaker’s engineers have already fitted the Genesis Coupe 2013 model year with the same two engine lineup but with different power and performance. The new 2.0 liter turbocharged four delivers an output of 274 ponies and 275 lb- ft of torque. It means the upgraded engine produces an improved output by 64 hp and 52 lb- ft. on the other hand the 3.8 liter V6 featuring direct- injection technology spawns an improved power by 42 hp at 348 hp of total output and 29 lb- ft at 295 lb- ft of torque.
The upgraded Hyundai Genesis Coupe now has had its suspension re- tuned. Moreover the Genesis Coupe is now available with an eight- speed automatic transmission as optional.
Apart of such power, the Genesis Coupe for 2013 model year also gets some more features, such as a fresh front fascia, a heated extractors hood, redesigned LED taillights, a new rear wing, completed with a revamped center console and upgraded interior trim.
With those benefits we will get from the Genesis Coupe, the company had set the base price for the 2.0 T model at $24,250, while the 3.8 liter R- Spec is cost at $28,750. Note that those prices are not including the delivery and handling fee at $875.
