Well, after showing its first appearance in the concept form nearly a year ago at the Concorso D’Eleganza at Villa D’Este, the new V12 Zagato now had just had its global outing at this year Kuwait Concours d’Elegance in production version. For the European segment, this Aston Martin’s new V12 Zagato will arrive next month at the Geneva Saloon.
Actually, the new Aston Martin’s V12 Zagato is the updated version of the automaker’s V12 Vantage which was designed to celebrate the golden anniversary of the 1962 DB4GT Zagato built by Italian coachbuilder Zagato.
For the new Aston Martin, the engineers made use of the same naturally aspirated 6.0 liter V12, the same engine found on the regular Vantage. With such engine, the new Aston Martin V12 Zagato gets an output of 517 Ps or equal to 510bhp at 6,500 rpm and 570 Nm or 420 lb- ft of torque at 5,750 rpm. The new V12 Zagato is also equipped with a six- speed manual gearbox which transfers the power into the rear wheels.
The vehicle is expected to be available in the market on summer. Unfortunately the automaker just offers the new V12 Zagato in limited run, only 150 units will be built.
