Holden has already brought the 2012 Colorado Pickup Truck making its first appearance in Australia in production trim. The pickup truck is actually set to be manufactured and sold in the US and it had been previewed in a little camouflaged concept at the Melbourne Auto Show last year.

The 2012 Holden Colorado is expected to be available for sale in the middle of this year along with no other styling changes than its large alloy wheels and sporty mirrors. Those are indeed more interesting but not merely effective in all ways.

When the vehicle is coming to Australia, it will be offered in three body styles, single cab, space cab and crew cab. Furthermore the customers are able to choose a choice of two engine levels, including the all- new 2.5 liter and 2.8 liter DOHC in- line four- cylinder turbo diesel engines. The first one produces output of 110 kW or 148 bhp, while the second is able to spawn output of 130 kW or around 174bhp.

A five- speed manual gearbox is fitted into the 2.5L engine unit model along with a 3.0 tons towing capacity, while an exclusive six- speed automatic completed with a 3.5 ton towing capacity is paired to the 2.8L engine model.

You may read on these following statements on the 2012 Holden Colorado pickup for further information.

The Holden Executive Director Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, John Elsworth said that the Colorado was the General Motors’ most impressive light pickup ever. The company expected the pickup to be able to compete with the others in the competitive Australian light commercial market.

He added that the automaker would offer a couple of very competitive and responsive engines which is capable with its towing capacity of as much 3.5 ton.

Well, the company seems to be convinced enough that the new Colorado will be well- approved by customers with such capability.
