An online automotive magazine Carscoop stated that they had received an invitation from Lotus in this past Wednesday to join this year Geneva Motor Show in the global launch of the so called a special edition of a special edition Evora.
That special car is actually an F1 inspired version of the limited edition Lotus Evora GTE. In the last year Frankfurt auto show, the company also had previously showed this vehicle off.
On the Lotus’s invitation stated that they will launch a special edition of a special edition. In additional the special edition will be more special because there will be the British automaker’s F1 Team driver, Kimi Raikkonen.
There is no image of the special edition released yet. However, French auto site Caradisiac has dropped us with some photos of the F1- inspired Lotus Evora which was snagged at a parking area.
Partrick Garcia is the one who discovered the car while having a trip to see the F1 pre season testing in the beginning of this month in Jerez.
From the outside, the new vehicle gets the Lotus F1 team’s colors and lines, such as a large Lotus insignia on the rear wing and alloy wheels finished in gold, along with the number ‘10’ which indicate that the car is used by Lotus’ F1 Team driver. No certain information on the vehicle mechanical details, what we know is that the vehicle is lighter and more powerful compared to the Evora S model.
The engineers had got rid off particular parts of the car and employed carbon fiber on the outside and inside of the GTE. As the result the weight has been reduced by 105 kg over the base model. The GTE also empowered by an upgraded 3.5 liter supercharged V6 spawning output of 444 ponies which is transferred through the rear wheels by a new sequential AMT.
