Spending around three years after its first introduction in the past 2008, now the automaker is working on the mid- cycle facelift of the Audi Q5. It is proven by some new images of the Q5 which highlighted by some changes on its exterior. Well, doing facelift is always an effective way to differentiate an old vehicle with the new one.
The engineers also have made a change into the Audi Q5’s front fascia which is now completed with fresh headlights and a redesigned front bumper. In additional, it is reported that the vehicle will bring a new grille featuring a hexagonal model as it applied to the vehicle’s prototype design.
Since the pictures do not clearly expose the vehicle’s mechanical detail, it is uneasy to judge what is happening inside the car. However we suggest that the Audi Q5 will be empowered with the some upgraded engine derived from the previous model in order to deliver an improved power and fuel economy, including the 3.0-litre TDI V6, a 3.2-litre FSI petrol V6, a 2.0-litre TFSI turbo petrol, and a 2.0-litre TDI. Looking at the badge on the back of the vehicle’s photos, it is also possible if the new 3.0 liter turbo petrol will be joined to the line- up.
For the interior, the 20133 Audi Q5 is expected to be equipped with the automaker’s newest MMI multimedia interface along with internet functions and Google maps.
For the US market, the new Audi Q5 is expected to arrive at the third quarter of this year, while in the early of next year, the new model may go to the Australian market.
