Last autumn we had already had a glance on the Volkswagen’s Cross Coupe Concept at last year Tokyo Motor Show. Thus, it is not strange if you are on familiar term with the Cross Coupe Concept. However, the question now is whether or not the concept car will be presented in the Geneva Auto Show.
Well, actually Volkswagen Cross Coupe concept will definitely present on the Geneva Show, but it will wear a two- tone red and silver exterior color.
Being different with the Cross Coupe presented previously in Tokyo Motor Show that got a plug- in petrol- electric hybrid system, the latest versions shifts the TSI gasoline engine with more powerful turbodiesel four- cylinder unit along with direct injection. The unit then mated with two electric motors in which the one is placed at the front, while the other else placed in the rear. Thanks to the TDI fixed, so the vehicle is able in returning combined fuel consumption of 1.8 liters per a hundred kilos in the NEDC, short of New European Driving Cycle or equal to 131 mpg US and 157 mpg UK. On the other hand, the CO2 emission is delivered at 46 grams per kilos.
The vehicle that measured at 1,858 kg or around 4,096 lbs is empowered by a total output of 265 PS or 261 hp, while reaching a peak speed of 220 km/h or 137 mpg.
So far, that’s what I can say about the SUV, any further details and other styling changes that may or may be have not been done on the Cross Coupe seem to be unveiled closer to the Geneva Motor Show.
