A new report came from British based Car Magazine suggested that the 2014 Mercedes E- Class could be launched in the early of next year before the sedan version arrived on the market. However, it was just the days before that the first snagged pictures of the new Mercedes E- Class were dropped and the report said that the car would be brought into public in late 2013. So which one is correct?
Well, let’s assume that the most reliable report is the latest report. If that so, then the automaker should spend the rest of this year to complete the development of the E- Class that is reported to get some prominent changes.
Although the previous photos had some slight camouflage that covered the new design, we guess that the new E- Class is most likely to have a totally redesigned front end particularly the new bonnet, grille, headlights and bumper. Based on these days reports, the Mercedes E- Class is created based on the styling cues of the next A- Class, on the other hand it is said that the heavily facelifted model is aimed for the next E- Class generation in 2015.
Moreover, it is claimed that the base level E200 will make use of a tuned Renault unit, 1.6 liter four cylinder engine that is good for 156 bhp or equal to 116 kW or 158 PS. The next level E350 is said to be empowered by a 3.5 V6 unit that spawns output of 333 bhp or 248 kW. The higher level E500 will get the benefit of 435 bhp or nearly 441 PS and 699 Nm of torque derived from a new turbocharged 4.6 liter engine. Finally, the highest level, AMG will be fitted especially with a 5.5 liter twin turbo V8 unit that will be nice in returning 537 bhp or 544 PS.
The automaker claimed that the E- Class also will be its new car to introduce some upgraded safety features including improving night assistant that works to detect wild animals, dynamic light assistant, intelligent assistant, congestion assistant, Magic ride control, and Car- to- X communication.
