In unveiling its two fresh vehicle models at Geneva Auto Show, the British carmaker invited Kimi Rikkonen who is the 2007 Formula 1 World Champion. At the event Kimi Rikkonen was assigned to unveil the new Lotus Exige S Roadster and the Evora GTE.

The new Lotus Exige S that come in the form of the open- top version is considered as the first Exige ever to be equipped with a soft- top roof. the soft- top roof itself is claimed by the automaker to be lightweight and easily removable.

Just the same with the fixed- roof model, the new Exige S Roadster is empowered by the 3.5 liter V6 supercharged that produces output of 345 HP. the unit then mated with a six- speed manual gearbox as standard that works to distribute the power into the rear wheels. On the other hand the IPS semi- automatic that was used in the Evora S also offered as optional. Such power enables the vehicle to accelerate form 0 to 100 km/ h in just 4.0 seconds sprint time, while in 8.5 seconds the vehicle hits 160 km/h or 100 mph.

The second model revealed in the Evora GTE special Lotus F1 team model that features high- gloss carbon fiber bodywork, a carbon interior with copper inlays, black leather rounded seats added gold piping and a Lotus F1 Team Limited Edition symbol.

The 3.5 liter Evora GTE is able to hit an output of 444 HP. with such great power, the GTE is claimed to be the most powerful production model. Moreover, the weight of the GTE is now slimmer by 100 kg over the previous model. Thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber.

The Evora GTE is set to be sold in European market by May this year.
