The All- new Mitsubishi Mirage Supermini Enters Production, Launches in Thailand: Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi has already brought the all- new Mitsubishi Mirage that was displayed at the previous Tokyo Motor Show to have a series production at the brand’s factory in Thailand at Laerm Chabang.

Thailand buyers may be happy to see the compact car since for the first delivery, the automaker chose Thailand’s market to have the first Mitsubishi Mirage deliveries in the upcoming week followed by the other Southeast Asian countries, Japan, Europe and other countries across the globe later on.

The President of Mitsubishi Motors Corp, Masuko stated that the company was so proud to present the Mirage in Thailand firstly. In addition, the Mirage was an all- new compact car empowered emphasized on premium fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions.

The new Mitsubishi Mirage can be placed between city cars such as the Fiat Panda and superminis like the Ford Fiesta since the Mirage is measured at 3710 mm long, 1665 mm wide and 1490 mm tall.

The engineers have made use of a new 1.0 liter three- cylinder MIVEC gasoline engine. The unit then can be fitted with Auto Stop & Go or AS&AG system connected to a CVT that drives the front wheels.

With such unit, the automaker claimed that the Mirage will be able to return a combined fuel economy of 30 km per liter in the Japanese test cycle or around 3.3 liters per a hundred kilos or 70 mpg US.

Depending on the trim level, in Thailand market, the Mitsubishi Mirage will have a price tag between THB 3800,000 to 551,000 or equal to US$12,300 to US$17,900 or €9,400 to €13,600. As much 2,500 units Mirage per month is planned to be offered in Thailand market.
