Chinese market is now in harmony with the Western carmakers. One of the automaker is Ferrari that celebrates its 20th birthday with a limited production model of the 458 Italia to be presented in Chinese market.
For China buyers, the company offers only 20 unit examples of the 458 Italia Special Edition. The 458 Italia Special Edition gets an exclusive exterior design based on the Longma theme. The Longma itself is an old Chinese idiom whose the meaning is ‘the vigor and spirit of the legendary dragon- horse’.
A paint called Marco Polo Red is exclusively colors the body of the 458 Special Edition. In addition the Special Edition rides on a new set of wheels finished in a deep gold hue that is the same theme employed on the fornt winglets and the side skirt trims.
The sense of exclusiveness continues inside the car that is decorated with gold embroidery attached on the car’s head rests. All of 20 cars get engine start button that is inscribed with the symbol of Chinese characters for ‘start’ and a ‘20th Anniversary Special Edition’ symbol applied on the dash.
Moreover, according to some rumors, Ferrari will put its first permanent brand exhibition outside of Maranello at the Italia Center of the Shanghai World Expo Park in several weeks’ time. The event will be held for three years and will display some of the brand’s best creations from the Maranello Museum.
Although the 458 Italia Special will most likely have its debut 2012 Beijing Auto Show, the inauguration of the new Ferrari Exhibition is also possible.
