Volvo had ever said that it has a plan to improve fuel efficiency and in the same time reduce CO2 emissions across its range. Now Volvo’s promise comes true with the introduction of a new five- cylinder 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine.
The new engine is able to deliver an output of 136 ponies and 350 Nm or around 258.1 lb- ft of peak torque. It is placed between the 115 Hp D2 and the 163 Hp D4 engines and will be offered in the S60, V60, XC60, V70 and S80 models. the diesel can be matted with either manual or automatic transmissions.
Moreover, the company also stated that the 2013 models will get some upgraded and will be offered before summer this year.
Well, start from this day, those all mentioned models above can be fitted with the Road Sign Information, Active High Beam and Tunnel Detection safety systems. Transparent and LED illuminated knob that was first used on the new V40 now features the all automatic transmission models.
The V70 and S80 models’ 11 spoke, 17 inch Sage wheel are updated with contrast color on the diamond- cut parts. On the other hand, the a new 5- spoke forged, 18 inch aluminum wheels is offered for the S60, V60, V70 and S80.
Last but not least, a reworked grille along with glossy black details is available for Volvo V70, while the XC60 is benefited from the brushed aluminum trim that is also available for the S60 and V60 as well.
