The Chinese brand, Roewe now has just turned to General Motors for any help in producing its new flagship sedan model. Just to remind you, the Roewe is actually a part of Range Rover that was set aside after the British company experienced great failure in the past 2005.
However, the Roewe has just stood at this year Beijing International Automotive Exhibition to celebrate the global launch of the new flagship 950 whose the platform and running gear are derived from the recent generation Buick LaCrosse that is also available in Chinese market.
The Roewe 950 is measured at 4,996mm or 196.7 inch long, 1,857 mm or 73.1 inch wide, and 1,502 mm or 59.1 inch tall. With such size, the Roewe 950 has identical dimensions to that of the mid- size Buick sedan. The Roewe is riding on a 2,837 mm or around 111.7 inch wheelbase.
General Motor China division offers the buyer with a choice of three available engines to be mated in the Roewe 950. The first engine is the 2.0 liter that is good for 145 ponies and 190 Nm of peak torque. The second engine is a 2.4 liter direct injection that is able to produce a total output of 184 horses and 240 Nm of peak torque. The last is the range- topping 3.0 liter V6 direct injection that churns out 255 horses of output and 296 Nm or peak torque.
