Well, the wrap of the Heyue SC Coupe had been taken off by JAC at the Beijing Motor Show this year. as it showed on the display, the coupe is still keeping the design of Tong Jian’s original prototype that was showed at the past 2009 Shanghai Auto Show. Some differences only appear on its alloy wheels and racing stripes.
The company has replaced the hybrid driveline with the 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engine to be applied on the Heyue SC Coupe. The gasoline engine is able to deliver output of 163 ponies and 217 Nm or around 160 lb- ft of peak torque. The unit then mated to a manual transmission that moves the rear wheels and is able to help the Heyue in reaching a top speed of 205 km/h or equal to 127 mph.
The Heyue SC Coupe is planned to enter the production stage by the end of next year or at the beginning of next two year.
Apart of the Heyue, the company also brings another new model at JAC’s booth. The new model is the Rein II SUV that is empowered by a choice of either 1.9 liter turbo diesel engine or a 2.0 liter turbocharged four- cylinder gasoline engine. Both engines are coupled to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The second model is measured at 4,430mm long, 1,857mm wide, 1,660mm tall and 2,640 mm wheelbase. The Rein II SUV is expected to have arrived on sale in China summer this year.
That’s all about the two JAC’s new models, no sentence about their pricing yet. However, we’ll definitely let you know if there is any further information as soon as possible, so stay tune.
