It is surprised when Ford has a little plan to announce the official pricing for the 2013 Focus ST U.S market. However, a leaked dealer document really tells us the truth and gives hints that the hot hatchback will have a tag price start from $23,700. The Focus is planned to have arrived by the next few weeks at showrooms through the States.
You should take a note that $23,700 is actually excluding the destination and handling fee that should be as high as $795. Plus that destination fee, the Ford Focus will be cost at a total price of $24,495.
If you want your Focus to be completed with some optional features, then you should prepare for some extras then. Well, the company has prepared some equipment like moonroof at $895, the navigation system at $795, the Tangerine Scream Tricoat Paint at $495, and the engine block heater at $35. Apart of the options, the company also offers two equipment packages, the 201A which is available at $2,505 and the 201A that is cost at $4,840. Unfortunately, here is no sentence delivered about the details of those packages.
The Focus ST will be benefitted from a 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged inline four-cylinder gasoline engine that is good for 250 ponies and 265 lb- ft of peak torque. The unit then mated with the standard transmission six- speed manual gearbox that transfers the power for the front wheels only.
The Ford Focus is expected to face against its rivals such as the Volkswagen Golf GTI that is empowered by 200 ponies of power and cost from $23,995 for the three- door to $24,495 for the five- door variant without a destination fee.
The 201hp powered, Hyundai Veloster Turbo which will have its debut this summer is also expected to be a reasonable rival for the Ford Focus ST.
