At the past September, Peugeot has already unveiled a new compact sedan -on its global launch- that is dubbed as the 301. The new 301 is expected to arrive on sale in Turkey on November this year and then followed by the Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Greece, The Middle East, Gulf and African States, and also some selected Latin American markets later on. The new compact saloon will be manufactured in Peugeot’s factory in Vigo, Spain.
According to the automaker, the new 301 was built to be aimed particularly for customers who look for an efficient yet also giving a sense of modern compact saloon. In addition, the new sedan is built to be able to function effectively in all climates and conditions.
Measured at 4,440 mm long with a 2,650 mm wheelbase, the new 301 provides the owner with more than enough boot space of 506 liters. The Porsche 301 was built based on the company’s newest models, for example the mid- size 508 and the 208 supermini.
The 301 compact sedan is the second vehicle in its class below the 208 supermini that will be available with the company’s new 1.2 liter VTi petrol engine. It is good for around 70 hp or 71 PS. The unit then mated with a choice of either manual transmission or an automated manual gearbox or EGC.
Apart of the new 1.2 liter VTi, the French automaker also offers a 91hp (92PS) 1.6-liter HDi turbo diesel that is coupled to a manual gearbox and a 1.6-liter petrol that is good for a 114 hp or 115 PS. It is coupled to either a manual or automated manual transmission as well.
Well, although the new 301 is a very cheap in price, the company claimed that it will provide you with ample comfort goodies features depend on the model you choose. The equipment include electronic air conditioning, MP3 audio system with Bluetooth hands-free kit and USB connection, remote opening of the boot and rear parking assistance.
