However, now the automaker is trying to show another creation in luxury car segment with the comeback of the Proudia and Dignity nameplates. Some years ago, in the end of nineties or in the beginning of two thousand or so, the Proudia and Dignity were created by Mitsubishi in conjunction with Hyundai. Yet, in the meantime, the two models are rebranded by Mitsubishi itself.

The Dignity are developed by the OEM or short of Original Equipment Manufacturer in team with the Nissan Group and based on the Infinity M and the China- market Infinity M35Hl LWB, for you who are Japanese buyers, you may know the M35hL LWB as the new Nissan Cima.

The company stated that the name Proudia means Proud and Diamond if translated in English words. It’s in line with the automaker’s symbol. On the other hand, the Dignity in English means the magnificent, the prestige of the unbeatable vehicle.

The Produdia and Dignity bring waterfall front grille, re- designed front bumper and badges. The buyers are also able to choose the Proudia with a choice of two engines offered, those are a 3.7 liter V6 producing output of 328 horses or 333 PS in either RWD or AWD variants and the second model is the 2.5 liter V6 churning out as much 222 horses or equal to 225 PS available exclusively with RWD.

The more luxurious Dignity that rides on longer wheelbase shares the same gasoline- electric hybrid powertrain with the Infiniti M35h that joined a 3.5 liter V6 gasoline engine to an electric motor that produces a total output of 359 hp of power.

The two models are offered exclusively in Japanese markets with a starting price of 4,022,000 Yen for the Proudia 250, while for the Dignity VIP, the price is 8,400,000 Yen.
