The hottest news comes from Lexus which has posted a short statement in its official website that the new LS flagship sedan will have its global premiere at a ‘special invitation only event’ that will be held in San Francisco on Monday, July 30. It means that they who only invited are able to see this all- new LS Flagship sedan.
The company has also stated that in the launch, the new 2013 LS will be available in four models, including the LS 460, LS 460 L long wheelbase, LS 600h L hybrid sedan and the all-new LS 460 F SPORT.
Some reports suggest that the F- Sport model of the LS will share the same chassis and design language to the new GS F- Sport. The F- Sport is also equipped with an aero package, larger wheels, bespoke interior trim, a sports-tuned suspension and the Lexus Dynamic Handling (LDH) four-wheel steering system. However, it does not feature any updated powertrain which means that the current powertrain is still retained.
Just to remind you, the first Lexus LS was the first Lexus model that was introduced in the past September 1989. Later on, the company created three more models generation in around 1994 that was dubbed as the XF20, while in 2000 the company produced the XF30 and the recent model we know so far is the XF40 that was first showed off in 2006. The current model XF40 then got some facelift nearly four years ago.
This true rival from Lexus to the BMW 7- Series and the Mercedes- Benz S- Class in the premium car segment will make use of the company’s latest L- Finesse styling language as it appeared on the concept car and production model of the GS and also found on the new ES sedan as well.
