Cadillac Ciel Concept Front Right Side Cadillac’s Project for the 2013 to 2015 Model YearsAround the next two years, Cadillac will be busy doing its project, planning about its new products including the presentation of a flagship limousine that is developed based on the well- received Ciel convertible sedan concept.

Based on the report posted by the Automotive New, GM has already given a hint for the full size, rear- wheel drive luxury sedan’s development. The sedan is expected to be able to face against the Audi A8, BMW 7- Series, Jaguar XJ and Mercedes- Benz S-Class.

The so called Omega platform will be used for the production of the new model that will is expected to be available with either V6 or the V8 engine turbocharged version. The company is also said to offer an eight speed automatic transmission as the standard and also an all- wheel drive system as optional. The new flagship model that will go on sale in the next three year will be developed based on the last year’s Ciel study.

The V- Series Performance model is most likely to be based on the Alpha rear- wheel drive platform, following by the coupe model in the next two years. On the other hand, it is said that the company has not had any plan to build the convertible yet, while the sport wagon model will not be produced for the meantime.

The next project is to replace the CTS that will be offered in the form of sedan model in the second half of next year as the 2014MY. It will be placed in line with the BMW 5- Series and the Mercedes- Benz E-Class, so that the engineers will increase the size of the vehicle. In 2015, the CRS coupe and V- Series performance models are expected to arrive on sale, while the other project including the all- new SRX crossover will be in the end of 2014 and the crossover will be in the beginning of 2015.
