Before the new 2013 SRT Viper having its global premiere at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, California, the Chrysler Group’s Street and Racing Technology (SRT) brand toke a surprising movement by previewing a new limited edition version of the Viper 2013 MY.
the limited edition is called SRT Viper GTS Laucnh Edition and painted in the Viper’s GTS Blue colour with dual Brright White stripes surrounding the overall length of the Launch Edition. It rides on five spoke polished forged aluminum design wheels.
Some features are equipped inside the car such as a serialized dash plaque, Black Laguna leather with contrast stitching, covering the seats, door trim, instrument panel, steering wheel, grab handle, shift knob and center console. Alcantara decorates the headliner, while Satin Silver covers the white bezels.
The special edition is empowered by the all- aluminum 8.4-liter V10, the same engine found on the regular model. It is able to churns out as much 640 horsepower and 600 lb- ft of peak torque, similar to that of the regular model as well. Although said as limited edition model, the company has not stated yet how many Viper GTS Launch Edition will be built.
The President and CEO of the SRT brand stated that the Launch Edition was designed with the company loyalists. 2013 SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition model reminded us with the classic paint design that was applied on all outgoing Viper coupe created to help the company celebrating the comeback of their brand’s flagship performance vehicle to the supercar market segment.
