Aston Martin has released sketches of their new car from GT3 race car, the 2012 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 which will replace the previous car, namely DBRS9. New Aston Martin Vantage GT3 powered by a V12 engine from the car road racing season and will go next year, namely 2012. Please note, that the Aston Martin Vantage replace DBRS9 GT3, which was launched in 2006 ago in Le Mans. It was built only 26 units in total and won several competitions, including the Australian GT precisely at Mount Panorama in October last year.
The Vantage GT3 will join Aston Martin’s racing model range, which also includes the Vantage GT2, GT4, DBR9 GT1 and the AMR-One LMP1.
Aston Martin’s Vantage GT3 is built on the aluminum VH architecture and will be powered bya 6.0 liter V12 engine with a lightweight dry-sump. The Vantage GT3 will feature a semi-automatic paddle shift Xtrac racing transmission, and newly developed ABS and traction control. Aston Martin hopes to take the new Vantage GT3 to a maximum weight of 1250 kg and a power output of 600 bhp and 700 Nm of torque.
Aston Martin will finish the first prototype of the Vantage GT3 in July 2011, after which it will start testing it.The first Aston Martin Vantage GT3 units will be delivered to their customers at The beginning of the 2012 season.
