According to Toyota, Prius V MPV are on the track when going to market as scheduled. Reports recently have started to circulate and show that the Japanese car was delaying the launch vehicle by the impact of the remnants of an earthquake in the year, the tsunami and nuclear radiation. The report is related to the shortage of batteries has causing the hold-ups, although the manufacturer has now confirmed that a large hybrid cars will debut this fall as they had originally scheduled.
“Following Toyota Motor Corporation’s announcement in Japan today that delivery of the Prius alpha will be delayed, Toyota Motor Sales, announced that the Prius v is still on track for delivery to U.S. customers this fall,” Toyota said in a statement. “Delay of the Japan-market Prius alpha is due to the ongoing effects of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.”
