Euisun Chung, Vundai Vice Chairman of Hyundai had revealed its new MPV, Hyundai ix20 at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The Hyundai ix20 is the newest model of Hyundai famed i-range line-up. The vehicle will come in European with a high level of quality, design and comfort. The all-new B segment MPV is the latest Hyundai model too which is being planned to arrive with the new Five year Triple Care package which provides a five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty; five years of roadside assistance; and five years of free vehicle health checks.
The Hyundai ix20 is a futuristic mini-MPV with the precise balance of dynamic design and features. The MPV has experienced in Europe a reduction of its success lately, down on its sales rate by 34 per cent since 2005. However, the B segment of MPV has improved from 23,3 per cent to 29,2 per cent at the same time.
The Hyundai stated optimistically that the B-segment MPV will achieve its sales target at 55,000 units. The company hopes that the launch of the Hyundai ix20 will help in improving the Company sales rate.
Hyundai ix20 is in process of production under Hyundai’s latest European plant in Nošovice, Czech Republic. The Hyundai ix20 is 4.1 meter in length equipped with regular long wheelbase at 2.615 mm and a high roofline at 1.600 mm height. Hyundai ix20, of course is available in spacious cabin.
The Hyundai ix20 is the second European car which adopts Hyundai’s new ‘fluidic sculpture’ form, being designed and developed at Hyundai’s R&D centre in Russelsheim. The ix20 available in three design of its concept, those are refinement, dynamism, and confidence.
A choice of four Euro V-compliant engines will be provided in the all-new Hyundai ix20, two petrol and two diesel which produces a power of 77ps to 125ps. Hyundai x20 also will be completed with both Manual and automatic transmissions. Blue Drive ™ form also will be available in every Hyundai ix20 except the 1.6 with automatic transmission. That Blue Drive delivers the CO2 emissions rate from just 114 g/km.
Hyundai ix20 is completed with both active and passive safety technologies include ESP (Electronic Stability Program), ABS (anti-lock braking system) and Hillstart Assist Control to avoid roll-back when starting on an incline as standard features.
