Lorenzo Sistino, the Executive Vice President of Fiat Group for International Operations, yesterday had launched the first Fiat 500 to China markets in Shanghai.
The 500 special model dubbed 500 First Edition has been presented by Fiat in order to celebrate fiat 500’s launch, comprising bodywork graphics which is made by five young Chinese designers. The 500 special editions itself is planned to have its launch of the city car’s regular launch in china on the 15th September. The special edition will go on sale in a limited number of only 100 units.
The 500 “First Edition” is based on the Lounge trim including a three-coat pearlescent white body color, red leather interior and special badges on the door pillars. A 1.4-liter MultiAir engine paired to a six- speed automatic gearbox empowers the special edition, producing 101 horsepower output.
As well as the special edition, the normal 500 which will come to China in September also empowered by a 1.4 liter MultiAir engine and also the same gearbox. Those units provides a choice of three trim levels, those are Pop, Sport and Lounge, available 12 body colors, the upholstery is available in 9 color-material combinations while other two interior trims are offered either in black or ivory.
If you have ordered the Fiat 500 from July 12 to September 15, then you will get automatically a point to win an exchange of one of the 100 units First Edition models.
According to the Executive Vice President of Fiat Group, Fiat will launch a new saloon which will be build in Chinese plant incorporated with its local partner GAC in Changsha. He added that the 500 hatchback will be available next year by the 500C convertible and the “500 by Gucci” version.
