BMW has launched its flagship, the 740i which is equipped with numerous high- end features. The 740i comes in a large luxury sedan design of course completed with as we expected perfect quality and nice trim.
Inside the 740i there are luxurious trimmed seats and armrests finished in Dakota leather upholstery. The power- adjustable provides an impressive range of adjustment which are heated and ventilated. The steering space is also adjustable and provides comfortable cockpit for all sizes drivers. The stack bottom under the radio of multifunction preset buttons is labeled and mounted HVAC controls close to them. The driver can reach the BMW’s iDrive easily since it paired on the centre console next to the gear selector.
Apparently the back seat can carry thee adult but the intrusion from the transmission tunnel may be something annoying. It is better if there are just two adult in the back. The boot of the car can accommodate 500 liters however, a large number of storage options are also provided inside the cabin.
A six cylincer turbocharged engine paired to the BMW’s eight- speed automatic empowers the 740i, producing 240 kW and 450 Nm of torque. Although the car is almost 2000 kg, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/ h only in 5.9 seconds. Four modes are offered by the Dynamic Driving Control.
Standard safety features on the 740i covering stability control, dynamic traction control (switchable), ABS, EBD and brake assist. The front knee and rear side airbags are noticeably removed, however the front, front side and full-length curtain airbags are standard.
