The fifth teaser image of its Pebble Beach-bound JX crossover has been released by Infiniti. As we take a look at the latest images, the JX will be most probably to be based on the smaller FX and larger QX’s styling. The traditional style of Infiniti will be retained.
The JX will share the same swoopy front end designed which has also found on the G and M sedans and also completed with Infiniti’s signature chrome bar grille along with the company’s logo front and center.
From the details of either inside or outside’s photos seem the JX is ready for the summer debut. The first launch of concept car will be held at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August, earlier than the production model debuts that will be made at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. It is estimated the JX will arrive on sale in the beginning 2012.
Infiniti seems convinced enough to offers a real three- row crossover to its buyers, facing its competitors such as Mercedes-Benz (GL-Class), Audi (Q7), Lincoln (MKT) and the five seat Lexus GX 460 and Land Rover LR4.
The JX is most likely to ride on Nissan’s front-wheel drive “D” platform and employs Infiniti’s 3.7-liter V6 under its hood. The hybrid model is also expected to join the JX lineup.
The overall shape outside the JX seems to be based on the Audi Q7 design, however the different details are represented. The Switchgear, unique round heated, ventilated seat knobs and its small leather-wrapped gear lever are all infinity typical. The design of the JX is less expressive compared to the Infinity’s midsize M sedans.
