Acura has dedicated its time and knowledge in refreshing the ongoing lineup, the first stage of upgraded is still in process employing sheet metal. In the upcoming year, the revamp will be greatly focused on the improvement of fuel efficiency of the portfolio which will be finished by the additional of hybrid powertrains for a particular model.

As reported by an online automotive magazine “Automotive News”, the TL, RDX and MDX will be chosen as well by Acura to receive a gas- electric option. Furthermore, Acura is planning to renew the nameplates of the hybrid automobiles, the RSX and NSX. The RSX will be available as the next 2013 model in sedan form. A rumor also has been widely spread that the Acura sports car, the NSX will be showed off by 2014. The RL flagship is reported to be no longer use the rear drive V-8 version.

The eager edge styling philosophy also will be used back by Acura. As we glace at the 2012 TL midcycle change we can see an early clue of more refined appearance. a more traditional grille is going to shift the angular front beak.

The entry level luxury sedan will arrive on sale at the spring of 2013 along with the Lexus CT 200h and BMW front- drive cars. The RSX is based on the Honda Civic platform. It means a Civic Si’s four-cylinder engine will be mounted under the RSX’s hood, producing output at 210 hp. The RSX will come in larger sedan completed with more differentiated sheet metal.

The TL model which is based on the Honda Accord mid- sized sedan this year received a major fascia change. The base V6 will be available with Honda’s large- car hybrid system as an option. A new cylinder deactivation system and stop-start ignition will be completed the V6 which is now lighter than its predecessor. The 3.5 liters engine will be most probably replaced by the 3.7 liter V6.

The small crossover, RDX for the summer of 2012 will be reworked. Both front- and all-wheel drive will be available in this model. A standard 2.5-liter inline-four engine will shift the previous turbo- four versions for the base model, while a hybrid- four will come as option. The MDX is estimated to be empowered by 3.5-liter V-6 produces output at 270 hp.
