It needs some great down measures for automaker which focuses in making vehicles but apparently is not mostly efficient, such as Land Rover or any other automaker that has hopes to get strict future standard for fuel consumption and CO2 emission.
Of course, the automakers will choose to work in hybrid- powered which is a potential option and diesels engine as well. However such high- technology powertrains are not cheap. Despite the fact that the diesels and hybrids are also heavy, Land Rover would also get problems to deal with these two powertrains as Land Rovers are big in size, large enough and having a pleasantly rounded and plump body.
It sounds a little surprised knowing that the British and Indian owned automaker has considered and decided to present a smaller and friendlier one dubbed the Evoque. However, that is just a bit of noticeable Land Rover’s plans. According to Detroit Bureau, the British automaker is now setting up to get rid of as much as 1,100 pounds or equal to 499,4 kg from its pick- up truck over the nest decade. To achieve that target, the company will employ materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber in order to replace it conventional steel, but the size of the vehicle’s footprints will be retained by the company.
That Land Rover’s far- vision can be clearly seen in the form of a new Defender concept as the first hint of that development. The Defender is planned to launch at the next Frankfurt Motor Show. Although the details related to the Defender’s machine has not yet to be confirmed. However, the company stated that the company itself is now still designing the upcoming Defender in order to fulfill United States regulations.
