 2014 Mazda6 Sedan Photos

Before having its world premiere at this year Moscow Motor Show that is held today to September 9, Mazda had dropped official photos along with the details of the all- new 2014 Mazda6. The images show us some interior shoots that is even more enchanting compared to the exterior. Now, from Moscow, we are able to see the 2014 Mazda6’s live photos…

Just to remind you that Mazda6 is developed based on the aggressive Takeri Concept, making use the company’s moto ‘KODO- Soul of Motion’ styling character. In addition, it is also equipped with SKYACTIVE technologies and some soft materials for the interior’s parts such as the door trims and the upper part of the dashboard…

The Mazda6 features a shorter rear deck and rides on 2,830mm long wheelbase. It is 4,865mm long, 1,840mm wide and 1,450mm tall with 20 mm more shoulder room for the front occupant, 43 mm more knee room, 37 mm more legroom, and 65 mm larger center arm rest. The company claimed that the mid- sized sedan’s trunk is wider by 32 mm compared to the outgoing model…

The engineers have also implemented MacPherson struts up front, a rear multi- link suspension. The car will be offered with a choice of two new four- cylinder gasoline engines. Those are the the SKYACTIVE-G 2.0-liter and the SKYACTIVE-G 2.5-liter. The two engines are able to generate 148hp and 210 Nm of peak torque and 189hp along with 256Nm of peak torque respectively…

The Mazda6 is expected to go on sale in Europe and Japan later this year, followed by the rest of the world such as the States and Canada in the beginning of next year. Those above mentioned information is the Russian’s model specification, while Europe or japans specifications will be revealed later on this year.  Revamped Mazda MX-5 Roadster and Roadster Coupe

Although, some of the customers are still interested in the MX- 5 and it is not broken, Mazda feels it is needed to give the world’s best- selling roadster that has been in the market since 2005 some facelifts…

At the Paris Auto Show last September, Mazda has just made a debut of the updated MX- 5 which is now is arriving on European market. The roadster is offered in both soft- top dubbed the Roadster and retractable hard- top variant named Roadster Coupe. The facelifted MX- 5 gets a more aggressive styling with a new grille and new fog lamp bezels…

In addition, the automaker offers the Roadsters with a choice of eight body colors such as the new Dolphin Grey. Moving inside the car, there are steering wheel spokes and panels decorated in glossy dark…

In order to improve the throttle response, in particular at low speeds, the engineers have tuned the acceleration management program on manual transmission- equipped models. Furthermore, the vacuum brake booster also has been optimized for better braking. The other visible change in term of engineering is the extra of a new active bonnet system that crack the hood in case of a collision with a pedestrian automatically so that the impact can be prevented and decreased. In order to give better protection for pedestrians’ legs, the engineers have reinforced the lower section for the front bumper…

Unfortunately, no change is found under the hood in which the same 1.8 liter along with a five- speed manual transmission producing 126 PS and a 2.0 liter mated to a six- speed manual or an automatic gearbox as an optional, delivering 160 PS are still found.  2014 Mazda6 on Sale Now Priced from $20,880

A month ago, Mazda had already posted pricing details on the all- new 2014 Mazda6 sedan that is cost starting from MSRP $20,880 and now the automaker has just dropped full specifications of the car including the official EPA fuel economy numbers…

In the U.S., the all new Mazda6 will be empowered by a 2.5 liter four- cylinder gasoline engine that is good for 184 horses and 185 lb- ft of peak torque. The engine can be mated to either a six- speed manual or automatic transmission, driving the front wheel. The transmission helps the engine to return an EPA fuel economy of 25 mpg city, 37 mpg highway and 29 mpg combined or 26 mpg city, 38 mpg highway and 30 mpg combined respectively. In addition, the company is also planning for an optional turbocharged diesel that will be offered in the second half of this year…

With such fuel economy rating, the Mazda6 is rivaled to the new four- cylinder Honda Accord sedan that is, when coupled to a six-speed manual able to return 24mpg city, 34mpg highway and 28mpg combined while with a CVT, the fuel consumption is figured at 27mpg city, 36mpg highway and 30mpg combined…

The prices of Mazda6 is starting from an MSRP $20,880 for the entry I Sport without the destination fee at $795, rising to $24,495 MSRP plus destination fee for the mid-level i Touring and the top trim level i Grand Touring that starts at $29,495 MSRP along with destination charge…

The i Sport manual gearbox model gets some features as standard including a push-button start, air conditioning, power windows, a tilt-and-telescopic adjustable steering column, steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise control functions, 17-inch alloy wheels and auxiliary and USB connection ports…

 Mazda Releases New Mazda6 Sedan and Wagon

This year, Mazda also took a chance to launch its car at 2012 Paris Auto Show. At the event, Mazda showed off its new challenger in the European D- segment that contributes for around 6.2 percent of the total car sales of the company’s sedan and wagon variants…

Either the sedan or wagon brings what is said by the company as the purest adaptation and the soul of motion with the signature wing grille, flowing lines and a coupe-like roofline that has been moved back by 100mm. as the result, the cars present more forceful character…

The sedan rides on 2,830 mm long wheelbase, providing spacious cabin. On the other hand, the Wagon model rides on smaller and shorter wheelbase at 2,750 mm and 4,800 mm. with the rear seats are in their position, the wagon and the sedan have boot capacity of 522lt and 489lt respectively…

The engineers said that the chassis of the new Mazda6 is now lighter but more rigid with front strut and multi link rear suspension that is developed for agility, high- speed stability and a comfortable ride. The company offers three choices of petrol engine and two diesel engines that are all coming with Skyactiv- G range…

The diesels include the Skyactive- D 2.2 diesel that is available in two range of output; those are the 147 horses and 173 ponies or 150 PS and 175 PS respectively. On the other hand, the petrol line-up includes the Skyactiv- G range 2.0 liter for three different outputs; 143 hp, 162 hp and 189 hp…

While for the North American market, Mazda6 will come as a sedan with 189hp 2.5-liter Skyactiv G gasoline engine, but the 2.2 liter turbo diesel may also be offered for the North America model. In the North America, it will arrive on sale at the beginning of next year, while in European market, it will have arrived at the end of this year. In Europe, the new Mazda6 will be offered with a radar cruise control, automatic braking in order to avoid a collision both at low and high speeds and a lane departure warning system…

 New Mazda6 and CX-5 Custom Concepts at Tokyo Auto Salon

The 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon is getting closer in which at the occasion we will be able to a range of Mazda’s customized cars of the recently introduced Mazda6 lively. The modified models of the Mazda6 that is also known as the Atenza in Japan will be available in both sedan and wagon models. Alongside with the two body styles, the Japanese company will also showcase the CX-5 crossover…

Let’s start with the new Mazda6 concept. In Tokyo, the carmaker will show the concept in three modes, including the Atenza Racer 2013 sedan, the Atenza Wagon Grand Touring and a new addition Atenza GT Sound Special. A set of kit, large wheels and upgraded chassis parts are all equipped into the first two models, while the last model is completed with a delicate body kit, a more lavish interior goodies and an excellent audio system…

Aside of those two models, there will also be two concept of the CX5. The first concept is the white finished Active Driver study with a carbon fiber hood and many other performance upgrades. The second is the Grand Touring that is finished in red colour and fitted with 20 inch tires, aero parts and a sportier interior design. The Grand Touring is expected to be offered in diesel model…

 2014 Mazda6 Station Wagon Makes its Video Debut

Mazda has just begun its production stage of the all- new mid- size 6 at its Hofu Plant No.2 in Japan on Thursday. In that special event, there were some parties who attend, as many 500 people presented such as the brand’s CEO, Takashi Yamanouchi, executives, employees and also a representative of the company’s Workers Union…

If, following the Thursday party, the carmaker had dropped some more images of the sedan and the most important is that if the new Station Wagon model that we saw for the first time had not been released yet, it would not have been much of deal then…

Furthermore, not only some images released, on Thursday, the automaker has also spread a video of the event that represents the Station Wagon model wrapped in leftover ribbons derived from last Christmas, while the car enters the podium with the sound of an unidentified tune which reminiscence to the past eighties…

The company said that the example of the Mazda6 Wagon is empowered by the company’s new SKYACTIV- G 2.0 liter four- cylinder gasoline engine. It is expected to be offered to the European specifications…

 Meet the New Diesel-Powered 2014 Mazda6 Grand-Am Series Racer

Now Mazda is trying to convince consumers with their new technology by showcasing by putting a racing spin into the Mazda6 Grand-Am Series Racer. John Doonan who is the Motorsports Director of Mazda North American Operation announced yesterday at the Los Angeles Auto Show about the new diesel powered Mazda6 racing car, yet the complete production model has not been revealed yet. In order to meet the performance targets for the car’s power and also its endurance that could be translated into 400 horses more for over 50 hours, the engineers have applied a range of Mazda parts such as the so called Skyactive- D. the Skyactiv- D is a production block and it is actually not a pure race engine.  Mazda Confirms UK Prices for Updated MX-5

On December 1, Mazda will have launched the new model year of the MX- 5 that will be displayed in the showrooms across United Kingdom. The new Mazda MX-5 will hit the dealerships with a price tag of £18,495 for the base 1.8-liter SE Roadster or soft-top model  and rising to £23,595 for the Roadster Coupe or the retractable hardtop PowerShift variant…

For the new model year, the automaker has already revamped the MX-5 with a redesigned face by applying the new bumper, a new pedestrian friendly bonnet, improved throttle response especially for the six- speed manual transmission completed with an updated braking system that rounds the entire new feature…

Aside of that new face, the MX-5 also gets a range of enhanced equipment such as the climate control air conditioning and glossy dark grey dashboard panel and steering wheel inserts that are offered as standard features on all models. In addition, the Sport Tech trim level adds a new alloy pedal set, while the Sport Tech and PowerShift version gets an auto dimming interior mirror…

Although there are a range new and extras features mounted in the car, the engineers are still keeping the same source for the new model year MX- 5. The engines under the car’s hood are a 1.8 liter unit that is good for 124 bhp or 126 PS and a 2.0 liter four cylinder, churning out as much 158 bhp or equal to 160 PS…
