You have already familiar with a host of models, including the three door hatchback, convertible, Clubman, Roadster and Coupe models of the Mini. However what about a Clubvan model? Have you ever heard this Mini variant? Off course you have not since the Clubvan is a new variant to join the Mini range.

Well, the BMW Group- owned British carmaker seems not to be so easily satisfied with those previously created Mini variants. In fact the automaker is now planning for the Clubvan. This new Mini body style will be presented in the form of a lightly disguised concept model in this year Geneva Motor Show which will be held next month…

From its name the so- called Clubvan was obviously designed based on the Clubman. However, you may call the Clubman more appropriately as the Breadvan. Being different with the other previous Mini model, the Clubvan study will get rid off and stop using the rear seats and side windows offering a continuous loading bay stretching up to the front occupant seating…

That’s all the information on the new Mini Breadvan Concept. So far, it is not certain yet whether the automaker is planning to launch a production version of the Mini Breadvan or not.  MINI Highgate Convertible will Debut at Geneva

If you know there are two MINIS from the German automaker, then you may probably out of date to get the latest report on MINI. Well, the German automaker, in order to implement the other two special edition models, has already unveiled the wraps of the latest MINI Highgate. The Highgate comes in the form of convertible, following the other MINI’s exclusive 2012 edition models, including the MINI Baker Street and MINI Bayswater. Well, MINI is now already making its trio perfect.

The name Highgate is actually taken from the popular district in London and appropriate to its name, the Highgate convertible features a host of exclusive exterior and interior features. One of other highlights is an all- new Iced Chocolate paint color with Silvertouched Truffle fabric roof. Another package on the MINI Highgate is blue edging and an exclusive 17 inch wheels. Other colors finish also offered on the MINI Highgate, such as the Midnight Black metallic and White Silver metallic…

As you move inside the Highgate convertible you will soon find a Dark Truffle leather interior decorated in blue piping and blue contrasting stitching.  2012 MINI Roadster Priced $600 Less than the Convertible

Finally, the pricing for new two- seater Roadster model has been already unveiled for the three models. What is interesting is that the price for these MINI Roadsters is cheaper by $600 over the other same versions of the four- seater Mini Convertible. Let’s check it out!

The first model is the Cooper Roadster which is empowered by a 1.6 liter inline four, producing 121 ponies of power. This unit is able to sport the Roadster to arrive on 60 mph in just 8.7 seconds sprint time, reaching its top speed at 124 mph. the fuel economy is figured at 30 mph in combined cycle. For the Roadster the automaker set a tag price at $24,350.

The next higher level is the Cooper S Roadster which is capable to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 141 mph. this version is sported by a 1.6 liter turbo which spawns output of 181 hp and returning combined fuel economy of 30 mpg. You’ll have this one with an MSRP of $27,350.

Well, the last and the highest level is the John Cooper Works Roadster. Clearly this is the most expensive Cooper as well which is priced at $34,500. This is a reasonable price since it gets 208 ponies from its 1.6 liter turbo engine. The unit also enables the Cooper to accelerate from standstill to 60 mph in just 6.3 seconds sprint time, reaching a top speed of 147 mph. the fuel economy is returned at 28 mpg in combined cycle.

Note that those prices do not include a destination and handling fee at $700. Just for comparison, the rear wheel drive Mazda MX- 5 is priced at $23,470 with a 167HP 2.0-liter unit, while for the retractable hardtop model, the price comes to $27,540.

 MINI Launches Baker Street and Bayswater Specials Editions

The London 2012 Olympic Games is coming closer. Well, it will be held starts in July 27 and it is obvious that the BMW Group is one of the official sponsors of it. Thus, in order to get grasp the attention of the public, the automaker is struggling to launch a couple of special edition versions.

Those two special models in the Mini’s range are the Bayswater and Baker Street models. both of them are bespoke editions which are based on the three- door hatchback. If nothing will happen, the two special editions will be available on the global market spring this year…

The first is the Bayswater edition. This model will be offered in four versions, those are Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper D and Cooper SD. A special Kite Blue metallic finish wraps the outside of the car, while Midnight Black and Eclipse Grey will cover the Cooper S and SD models as optional…

The black roof with racing stripes on the bonnet and mirror caps decorate the Bayswater beautifully. Furthermore, the vehicle also stands on 17 inch wheels which are exclusively fixed to this model…

On its door sills and seat tags there are Bayswater logos. The seats inside the cabin are moderately wrapped on leather with unique colors and two- tone stitching. The two- tone stitching obviously continues in decorating the gearshift/ selector lever and handbrake gaiters as well…

Apart of those features the Piano Black cockpit trim, stainless steel pedals and the standard Chrome Line Interior package also has been fixed inside the Bayswater…

The Baker Street model becomes the second special Mini edition. This model sports a Rooftop Grey metallic shade as standard, while the Pepper White and Midnight Black comes as optional. It also features special bonnet stripes and black mirror caps. The special Mini which rides on 16 inch alloy rims is available in four versions, including One, Cooper, One D and Cooper D guises…

Move inside the car and we’ll find exclusive seating surfaces with a diamond pattern, the floor mats finished in light grey contrast stitching, gearshift/selector lever, handbrake gaiters and seat tags. Albeit different in philosophy, it’s worth mentioning that the Coupe is priced on par with Chevy’s Camaro (312HP V6 starts at $22,805, 426HP V8 from $31,070) with the JCW being more expensive than BMW’s own entry level 128i Coupe with its 230HP inline-six ($30,950)…

 New Mini John Cooper Works Coupe Endurance in Nürburgring 24

Now We are can see the 2011 Mini Cooper that has been officially disclosed and appear in testing on public roads around the Nurburgring. This car comes with 208 horsepower. Coincidence? Nay. This weekend – 25 and 26 June, 2011 – the 39th running of the wildly popular Nürburgring 24-hour race takes place. There will be 250,000 fans in attendance and they shall behold, among other things (barring the onset of beer goggles and thick barbecue smoke), this Mini John Cooper Works Coupe Endurance competing in the “SP 3T” class…

We were shown this wee beast in a secret tent off to the side during our recent Austria test, but now the truth can be told. This official factory effort by Mini Deutschland is Mini’s world premiere in 24-hour endurance racing. Here’s hoping it can handle the 14.2-mile Nürburgring-Nordschleife for a day in really fast traffic…

Mini is bringing to bear everything it has learned from the Mini Challenge series for the iconic hatchback, plus certain lessons from the fresh Mini Countryman WRC effort, when it comes to the JCW Coupe Endurance. First, to help make the long Antoniusbuche Straight that leads to the finish go by quicker, horsepower is nudged up to 247 hp and torque on tap from the twin-scroll turbo N14 1.6-liter four is now at 243 pound-feet. Meanwhile, as you can see, the car is stripped of all civilian amenities to reach a taut sub-2,200 pounds (versus the standard JCW at 2,735 lbs). The four chubby normal seats have been swept aside in favor of a single Recaro competition seat…

Helping matters in the longer bits where top speed is the goal is the flatter rake – by 13 degrees – of the Mini Coupe windshield. If oodles of downforce are called for, this special version of the JCW aerodynamics pack with big adjustable rear wing is there to glue it to the tarmac. When the turns arrive, the adjustable race suspension taken from the Mini Challenge racer takes over together with a race-tuned map for the Dynamic Stability Control suite of settings.
